Since our founding, we’ve worked to help families find coordinated, comprehensive and family-centered care for children with special health care needs. We’ve been lucky to receive funding from an assortment of local, state, and federal grants, but as a nonprofit, we rely heavily on financial gifts from folks like you.
Every once in a while, however, a partner from the business community steps forward.
After a successful career in the corporate insurance world, Kurt N. Light decided to focus his attention on the people and small businesses of his hometown of Richmond, Virginia. He founded RVA Insurance Agency to be able to offer the best insurance at the most reasonable price for those who seek automobile, home, personal, and business coverage. A large portion of his mission is giving back to the community that supports him.
In 2016, Kurt used RVA Insurance to give a little “Thank You” to nonprofits and organizations that serve the Richmond community by offering financial gifts. Since 2016, RVA Insurance Agency has donated almost $15,000. Through September, he will donate funds to Medical Home Plus.
Kurt’s process is simple: For every quote his agency offers, he donates to us. If you request a car insurance quote, he’ll donate $10. If you ask for a bundle quote, like home/auto, he’ll donate $25. The great thing is that you don’t need to actually purchase a policy for RVA Insurance to make the donation. Simply call Kurt, ask for a quote, and he’ll make the donation.
